The Committee of the Mullumbimby and New Brighton Farmers Market recognise that the health and safety of all workers and market patrons is of the utmost importance and vital to the success of the business. The committee aims to continuously improve health and safety with all market operations through ongoing consultation and increased health and safety awareness to support workers and patrons. The committee will implement ongoing robust health and safety practices to prevent and control hazards, to control potential risks, progressively improve safe behaviours and safe systems of work across the market. Through the co-operative efforts of the committee and workers, we are committed to: providing a safe environment for all workers and patrons;
● providing and maintaining buildings, equipment and plant in safe working condition;
● developing, implementing and monitoring safe work practices;
● continuously improving the standards of workplace health and safety;
● managing risks associated with the market; and
● ensuring corrective and preventative actions with all incidents. It is paramount that all stallholders and their staff read the following documents and that they are accessible at every market:

● Evacuation Map Each stallholder is responsible for making sure their staff are properly inducted into the market.
